Experience and Milestones
The emergence of independent power producers to compete with traditional utilities was one of the biggest changes in the electric power industry over the past few decades, and Joe had the good fortune to work for top companies, both traditional and new including PECo and AES. The industry has also seen a significant change in the evolution to cleaner generation sources, first natural gas then renewables, and Joe had key commercial and technical roles in new and existing gas, biofuel, geothermal, energy storage and solar facilities. Looking back, the most rewarding situations required balancing a realistic assessment of commercial upsides while grounded in technical realities.
